Sonya Hunter is a mother, wife, prayer warrior and the author of the book Unsurvivable. 

Inspired by a tragedy that changed her life, Sonya stands as the founder of Adam’s Cape, a non-profit organization that provides support and services to children and their families with medical needs or crisis. Because of Sonya’s drive to make a difference in other’s lives, her heart could not stop there. She also serves as a member on the advisory task force for the Oklahoma Health Care Authority as an advocate for families with disabled children. In addition, she is the secretary for the Oklahoma DHS board advisory committee on services to persons with developmental disabilities.

Sonya, her new husband and their family live in a rural town in Oklahoma and own their own business. Sonya enjoys spending life to the fullest and laughing through all the escapades of her family’s adventures. Sonya lives her life to prove to the world that having a disabled child doesn’t define who you are or how you live life. Even in the darkest storm, always look for your rainbow. God’s promise never fails.
